Artistic Production Spurs Youth DevelopmentFebruary 8, 2010 The study of learning environments that support positive youth development is a growing field in the U.S. A new Working Paper describes arts-based youth organizations , where youth construct adaptive, emergent identities. In these organizations, youth participate in the dramaturgical process—they tell, adapt, and perform personal narratives. This paper argues that the dramaturgical process is a powerful learning environment for understanding positive youth development. Read the Working Paper here.
